What Are Dental Implants?

Are you feeling self-conscious due to missing, damaged, or decayed teeth? These dental issues can lead to various problems, including difficulty chewing, changes in your facial structure, and even jawbone loss. Fortunately, dental implants offer a reliable solution! A dental implant consists of an artificial tooth root made of titanium that is surgically placed into your jawbone.

It comprises three main components: the post, which is embedded in the jawbone; the abutment, which acts as a stable connector; and the crown or prosthesis, the visible part of the tooth. With our customized implant protocol, we will place six implants on the top and four on the lower. We will then attach a temporary set of teeth, meaning you can enjoy a completely transformed smile and improve your quality of life in just one day!

What Are the Benefits of Dental Implants?

Multiple Options for Every Smile Need

implant

Single Implants

Single dental implants effectively replace a missing tooth, providing a strong foundation that mimics the natural tooth root. Each implant consists of a titanium post inserted into the jawbone, an abutment to secure the crown, and a custom-made crown that matches the surrounding teeth. This treatment not only restores functionality but also enhances the aesthetic appearance of your smile, promoting overall dental health.

bridge

Dental Bridges

We can replace multiple teeth in a row with a durable dental bridge anchored to as few as two implant posts. A bridge is a single restoration crafted to have the appearance and function of several individual teeth. Implant-supported bridges can last decades longer than traditional bridges. Unlike a partial denture, they also restore full function to your bite.

denture

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures provide a secure and stable alternative to traditional dentures by anchoring them to dental implants placed in the jawbone. This approach improves chewing efficiency and eliminates the discomfort often associated with removable dentures, allowing for greater confidence while eating and speaking. Implant-supported dentures help maintain jawbone health by preventing bone loss and promoting a youthful facial appearance.

Full Mouth Dental Implants

Full mouth dental implants are a comprehensive solution for replacing all the teeth in the upper and lower jaw, providing a stable and long-lasting alternative to traditional dentures. This procedure involves placing multiple implants that support a full arch of prosthetic teeth, restoring both functionality and aesthetics to the smile. Full mouth implants offer a natural look and feel, allowing patients to eat, speak, and smile confidently. Using our Teeth Tomorrow protocol, you’ll have a brand-new smile in just one day.

Are You A Candidate For Dental Implants?

What to Expect from the Dental Implant Surgery Process

1

Consult & Planning

Your path to renewed oral health begins with a consultation. We want to understand what led to your current oral health struggles and your goals for your renewed smile. We will discuss your medical history and perform a complete oral health exam.
We will collect detailed diagnostics and digital X-rays and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique situation. This step ensures your dental implant selection is the best solution.

2

The Procedure and Same-Day Teeth

On the day of your procedure, we will make a small incision in the gums to access the underlying bone and place your implant posts. Depending on your unique needs, you may require preliminary procedures, such as bone grafting or extraction , to remove unsalvageable teeth or build a better foundation for your implants. We will then insert each implant post into your jawbone at an angle to ensure optimal support.

Once your implants are in place, we will attach an abutment connector and set your temporary teeth on top. We can deliver lightweight restorations for full mouth dental implants within 24 hours of your surgery so you can enjoy your normal routine while your implants heal!

3

The Follow-Up Appointment

After your procedure, our team will help you set up a follow-up appointment to check your progress. This visit ensures that everything is healing correctly and that your temporary teeth are comfortable. It also allows us to make necessary adjustments to prevent problems compromising our healing.

4

Healing & Final Restorations

Over the next several weeks, your implant posts will fuse with your jawbone during osseointegration, giving dental implants their unbeatable function and strength. Once your implant posts have achieved complete stability, you’ll return to our practice for your final restoration. This final set of teeth is crafted from the highest-quality material and designed to look, feel, and function like your natural teeth. With routine checkups and proper at-home care, your implants and restoration can last the rest of your life!
